When you highlight something that someone did well, their behavior and body language change.
When you praise someone, you increase the chances that they will do it again.
When you hug someone and inspire them to keep going, they can find another boost of energy.
When you show off your achievements and hear about them, it makes them proud and increases their self-confidence.
This is how often attempts are made to change people through fear, anger, threats, abuse or a number of other negative strategies.
How sad.
If you want to change people, encourage them.
Build it up.
Tell them you believe in them.
Give them a reason for hope and confidence.
Help them walk bigger.
Fan their fading embers aflame.
