A typical conversation on Sunday evening with my wife looks something like this:
Me: "I look forward to working tomorrow."
Karen: "Really?"
Me: "Yes, it is definitely better than the alternative."
Here is the truth. If I don't anticipate it and focus on the positive aspects of the job, I will most likely fear it.
What are you afraid of?
What is negative for you?
Is there a way to make it more positive so you look forward to it?
And what would change if you were looking forward to it?
Instead of escaping this course, take the opportunity.
Instead of being afraid to deliver this speech, you were thrilled.
Instead of seeing work as drudgery, you saw it as a wonderful opportunity to use your skills in a convincing way.
Instead of thinking that you have to, you realize that you are coming to it.
It will be a challenge to make the world a better place, especially in the current climate.
I'm looking forward to it.
