The days, weeks and months pass so fast that they can become blurry.

I shook my head today and Karen commented that our eldest son will turn 15 next March.

15?

I can still remember his birth and now he's a few inches taller than me!

When time passes so quickly and the days grow together, we can allow them to pass unhindered and without reflection, but that would be a mistake.

We need to be able to see how we are doing and to measure if it was a good day or not.

But how do we do that?

I would suggest a few simple questions to ask. If the answers are yes, it probably was a pretty good day. String together for a few days and you're making progress.

This is what I would ask you:

Did you learn something and got better at your craft?
Did you make someone smile or listen to him?
Have you let people around you know how much you care about them?
Have you demonstrated character and integrity by living in accordance with your values?
Have you proven resilience in challenging moments?
Did you recognize something positive about someone and found a way to celebrate it?
Did you feel how the face of God smiled upon you?
Have you achieved your long-term goals?
Were you good for your body, what you consumed and how you moved?
Were you kind to your mental condition because you talked about yourself?
Are there three things you are grateful for?

If your answers to most of these questions were positive, it was a very good day.

If not, there will always be tomorrow.
