Develop your understanding of human biomechanics with these superb courses from Tolulope Adenji, a Nigeria-based physical therapist.

Biomechanics is the science of movement. When applied to human body biomechanics, we gain an understanding of how muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones work together to create movement.

Biomechanical principles play an important role in physiotherapy practice . In this new course on Physioplus, you will explain the basics of basic physiotherapy knowledge related to biomechanics.

Introduction to human biomechanics – external forces
Human movement is complex. We are able to create a variety of postures and movements made possible by our musculoskeletal biomechanics. Understanding human biomechanics is essential to any physical therapist's knowledge base. There are two types of biomechanics; internal biomechanics and external biomechanics. This course focuses on external biomechanics. Tolulope Adeniji explains and discusses the essential basic concepts of human biomechanics that any physical therapist needs to understand in order to practice effectively.

Biomechanical core concepts

Introduction to Human Biomechanics – Internal Forces
The inner forces of human biomechanics are a number of key concepts that help us to explain and describe human movement. Understanding these principles is essential for physical therapists as they are relevant to all aspects of musculoskeletal injuries and dysfunction. Discuss the internal biomechanics of the human musculoskeletal system with Tolulope Adeniji.
