Physiopedia is a charity, a non-profit organization run by a team of volunteers. All the funds we collect go straight to the fulfillment of our mission. We train, we build community and we stand up for our profession. Every month over 2 million people from almost every country in the world learn from the Physiopedia website. Providing knowledge to physical therapists, other rehabilitation professionals, and the health-seeking public means better health care, improved functioning and reduced disability worldwide.

That drives us:

Collaboration is at the center of our activities – whether it's working with universities, facilitating research opportunities or working with our partner organizations, the entire Physiopedia project is based on collaboration – and everyone is involved. We want every physical therapist in the world to be involved in this community-run project for our profession. With our top employees every month and the new annual awards program, we make sure that we celebrate all the commitment and teamwork. Maybe you could also work with us or join the team!

You've probably heard of our world famous annual free online courses, but you may not have come across all of our exciting content development projects – from creating resources for physical therapists to using Refugees work, including working with the International Committee of the Red Cross to create content on cerebral palsy – these projects have an impact far and wide.

For those of you with Physioplus membership, you know how we work with Theme Specialists to help them share their knowledge (could this be for you?), But you may not realize that every subscription to Physioplus contributes to the support of free access to online education at Physioplus for people in low-income countries and reduced access for people in middle-income countries. This is really important to us – we are passionate about bringing people on other sides of the world access to the same great learning resources and removing financial barriers to learning wherever possible.

In March of this year, Team Physiopedia faced a major challenge – putting together a series of free online COVID-19 courses to expand their expertise and support physical therapists around the world during this global pandemic. There are now 13 courses on this subject, all of which are freely available. We have also done our best to support educational institutions during this time by offering all universities one month of free access to Physioplus to ease the transition to distance learning and to replace lost personal hours during the height of the pandemic.

You can't have a team of> 50 international volunteers actively working together without making it a great place. From all the benefits of being a volunteer to our online and offline hangouts, a very special community spirit ensures that this team grows. If you're up for a challenge that opens up a whole new world of opportunity, now is the time – our next Volunteer Orientation course starts in September, your opportunity to join #TeamPP – will we see you there?
